Why north Oshawa is where we're strongest
Windfields and Kedron are still building out: Kedron Part II alone adds roughly 22,000 residents, which means wide freshly-sealed driveways and new sod lawns on adjacent lots. That's the ideal condition for both our services, and it's why our densest routes run through them. If you're in one of these subdivisions, there's a good chance we're already clearing a driveway on your street.
Older Oshawa neighbourhoods
Samac, Eastdale, Pinecrest, Centennial and the Rossland/Harmony area have mature trees and established lawns. Different job entirely: heavier fall cleanups because of the leaf volume, and lawns that benefit more from aeration and overseeding than a new-build lawn does. We price those properties on what they actually need.

A twelve-month agreement that renews automatically unless you give 30 days' notice before your renewal date. Cancel any time with 30 days' written notice; leave part-way through and we settle up for the work already done against what you've paid.

Silver isn't a snow membership. You told us you've got the driveway. But your membership runs twelve months, so we're there twelve months. After every storm we run, we come back in the daytime and take the windrow off the end of your driveway: the ridge the city plow leaves behind, the heaviest, iciest part of the whole job. You shovel your driveway. We take the part that makes people give up.

What Silver gets after every storm
We're not plowing your driveway. We're still there after every storm.
The windrow pass
What we take. The municipal windrow cleared off the driveway apron, full width, to the surface. Nothing else on the driveway. The member clears their own driveway.
When. A daytime pass, on the same day Northline runs the member snow route, after the municipal plow has been through. Cleared by 5 PM.
Every storm. Every storm for which the member snow route runs. Same trigger, same day. If the municipal plow comes through after our pass, the windrow is taken on the next pass.
The windrow pass is not driveway clearing. The member clears the driveway; Northline clears the ridge the municipal plow leaves across the end of it.
Four banked clears a season
What it is. A full clear (driveway, walkway and front steps), exactly as a Gold member's, but on request and four times a season.
What it is for. The storms that beat you. Away, ill, Christmas morning, the 30 cm one.
When. Served after the member route is complete, never during it. Same day if requested before the route rolls; otherwise the next available pass.
Unused visits do not carry over to the following season.
What Silver does not get
No driveway plowing. No 7 AM target. No walkway or steps except on a banked clear. No salting. No entrance widening. Those are Gold's, and they are what Gold is sold on.

Which Oshawa streets are you actually on?
We build north out of Windfields and Kedron through Taunton and Samac, and east through Eastdale, Pinecrest, Centennial and the Rossland/Harmony area. Send us your address or postal code and you will get a straight answer the same day. If we are not on your street yet we will say so, and tell you when a route is likely to open near you.
My lawn goes hard and grey by August. Is that the soil?
Almost certainly, and it is not your fault. Oshawa sits on clay and clay-loam. It holds water through a wet spring, then sets hard through a dry August, and the roots stop going down because they physically cannot. Two things move the needle and neither of them is a spray: cutting at three inches so the turf shades its own root zone, and core aeration in the September window when the soil has softened again.
There is no legal spray for a home lawn in this province anyway. Ontario banned cosmetic pesticides in 2009, so height, density and aeration are the weed program. Anyone offering to spray your lawn is offering to break the law on your property.
How early is my driveway cleared after an overnight storm?
Being based here means Oshawa properties are usually first on the route. We target before 7 AM for Gold members and 6:30 AM for Platinum. That is a target, not a guarantee for every storm: a 30 cm event takes longer than a 6 cm one, and on the nights it will not hold you hear that from us before you look outside.
Silver runs on a separate daytime clock and we never blur the two: the windrow pass goes out on the same day the member route runs, after the municipal plow has been through, and it is cleared by 5 PM. No driveway plowing. No 7 AM target. No walkway or steps except on a banked clear. No salting. No entrance widening. Those are Gold's, and they are what Gold is sold on.
Can I get lawn service only, or snow only?
Yes to both, though Silver is no longer just the lawn. It is Lawn Care & Winter Backup at $129/month plus HST: the lawn all summer, the windrow the city plow leaves at the end of your drive, off by 5 PM, every storm, four banked clears a season on request. We're not plowing your driveway. We're still there after every storm. A seasonal driveway on its own runs $500 to $850 for the winter, and the driveway is all that buys.
Gold adds the walkways and the front steps, and salts on any visit we are already making. Priced piece by piece at our medium-property rates: Silver at $1,548 a year, a seasonal driveway-and-walkway contract at $775 and the $200 salting program, $2,523 in total. Gold at $2,268 a year saves $255. Against a driveway-only contract it is roughly the same money, on one payment instead of two contracts. That is why it is the membership we lead with.
