Bowmanville, Clarington

Lawn care and snow removal in Bowmanville, handled all year.

One company, one monthly payment. Clarington has no transit to fall back on, so a driveway that is actually clear matters more here.

  • Fully insured
  • Oshawa owned
  • Lawn and driveway, $189 a month plus HST

Green in summer. Clear in winter.

Why we work in Bowmanville

Bowmanville is the largest urban area in Clarington and the one part of the east end big enough to carry a route of its own. It's also almost entirely car-dependent. Clarington has no transit network comparable to Oshawa or Whitby, which makes reliable winter clearing worth considerably more here than it's further west.

The Bowmanville neighbourhoods we serve

Serving Northglen, Brookhill, Aspen Springs, Longworth Avenue, Liberty Street North, Mearns Avenue, Soper Creek, Waverley Road and Port Darlington.

Northglen and Brookhill: the active new builds

Both are master-planned communities still releasing phases on the north and north-west edges of town. New detached homes, wide freshly-sealed driveways, fresh sod, and owners closing in adjacent batches. If you've just moved into either, you're exactly who this service is designed for, and there's a good chance we're already on your street.

Aspen Springs: our Bowmanville anchor

Compact, well-laid-out and close to the Highway 401 access that connects us back to the Oshawa base. Driveways are the right size for a plow to save you an hour rather than ten minutes. This is where our Bowmanville route starts and where our density is highest.

Longworth, Liberty North, Mearns and Soper Creek

The established family subdivisions through the middle and east of town. Mature trees around Mearns and Soper Creek mean serious fall leaf volume: those properties benefit most from the cleanup work being included rather than charged per visit.

Port Darlington and the waterfront

Newer waterfront build, and far more exposed than the rest of town: open Lake Ontario in front of it and nothing to break the wind. Lake-effect drifting means a driveway here can need clearing when one two kilometres north doesn't. Worth having a seasonal contract rather than calling per storm.

A straight answer about the historic core

If you're in the older heritage streets around King Street or Church Street, we'll be honest with you: small lawns, short or on-street parking, and awkward access mean a seasonal contract often isn't good value. We'd rather tell you that than sell you one. A one-off cleanup is usually the better fit, and we're happy to do those.

Snow clearing in Bowmanville

Bowmanville only works as a route when it's dense, so we build it subdivision by subdivision rather than taking scattered accounts. If we're already on your street you'll be cleared early; if we're not yet, tell us and we'll let you know when a route opens near you.

Cleared before you leave: our 7 AM target after overnight snow.

On Silver, winter backup instead of a plow. You shovel the driveway. We take the windrow the city leaves at the end of it, after every storm, all winter. Four banked clears a season, on request.

How storm clearing works →

One flat monthly payment

Your annual membership divided into twelve equal payments. A heavy winter costs the same as a mild one.

Your year at a glance

We're not plowing your driveway. We're still there after every storm.

Silver isn't a snow membership. You told us you've got the driveway. But your membership runs twelve months, so we're there twelve months. After every storm we run, we come back in the daytime and take the windrow off the end of your driveway: the ridge the city plow leaves behind, the heaviest, iciest part of the whole job. You shovel your driveway. We take the part that makes people give up.

Silver: Lawn Care & Winter Backup

What Silver gets after every storm

We're not plowing your driveway. We're still there after every storm.

The windrow pass

What we take. The municipal windrow cleared off the driveway apron, full width, to the surface. Nothing else on the driveway. The member clears their own driveway.

When. A daytime pass, on the same day Northline runs the member snow route, after the municipal plow has been through. Cleared by 5 PM.

Every storm. Every storm for which the member snow route runs. Same trigger, same day. If the municipal plow comes through after our pass, the windrow is taken on the next pass.

The windrow pass is not driveway clearing. The member clears the driveway; Northline clears the ridge the municipal plow leaves across the end of it.

Four banked clears a season

What it is. A full clear (driveway, walkway and front steps), exactly as a Gold member's, but on request and four times a season.

What it is for. The storms that beat you. Away, ill, Christmas morning, the 30 cm one.

When. Served after the member route is complete, never during it. Same day if requested before the route rolls; otherwise the next available pass.

Unused visits do not carry over to the following season.

What Silver does not get

No driveway plowing. No 7 AM target. No walkway or steps except on a banked clear. No salting. No entrance widening. Those are Gold's, and they are what Gold is sold on.

No driveway plowing. Gold plows the driveway, unlimited visits, every storm.

No 7 AM target. The windrow pass is a daytime pass, cleared by 5 PM; the 7 AM target after overnight snow is Gold's.

No walkway or steps except on a banked clear. Gold clears the walkway full width and the front steps every storm.

No salting. Salt is on request at Gold and unlimited and automatic at Platinum.

No entrance widening. The driveway entrance is widened all winter at Gold.

Bowmanville and Clarington questions

Do you reach my street in Bowmanville?

We build Bowmanville subdivision by subdivision rather than taking scattered accounts across town, because a scattered route in Clarington is a slow route and you are the one who pays for that in February. Northglen, Brookhill and Aspen Springs are where our density is highest. Send your postal code and we will tell you the same day.

The prices do not change with the postcode. Silver is $129 a month plus HST, Gold $189 and Platinum $279, in Bowmanville exactly as in Oshawa: what changes is where your street sits in the storm route, and we will be straight with you about that.

Port Darlington is right on the water. Is it different from the rest of town?

Yes, and we treat it differently. Port Darlington has open Lake Ontario in front of it and very little to break the wind, so a driveway there can drift back in after it has been cleared while a driveway two kilometres north stays clear. Squalls come off open water and land unevenly.

That is exactly the situation a seasonal contract is for. Unlimited clearing at 5 cm with no per-storm charge means a drifting week costs you nothing extra, and it means we come back rather than arguing about whether a second pass is chargeable.

How much salt do you put down?

The least that works. Bowmanville drains toward Soper Creek and the lake, and municipal storm drains discharge to Lake Ontario without treatment, so what goes on a driveway ends up in the water. We salt for traction on the surfaces people walk on rather than coating the whole property, and we would rather come back than over-apply once.

How early is my driveway cleared?

We target before 7 AM for Gold members and 6:30 AM for Platinum after overnight snow. That is a target, not a guarantee for every storm, and Bowmanville sits at the east end of the route, so we are straight with you about where you fall in the sequence.

It matters more here than further west. Clarington has no transit network comparable to Oshawa or Whitby, so almost everyone drives, and a driveway that is not cleared is a day that does not start.

I am in the older streets around King Street. Is a contract worth it?

Often not, and we will say so. Small lawns, short or on-street parking and awkward access mean a seasonal contract in the heritage core frequently is not good value. A one-off cleanup or a per-storm clear usually suits those properties better, and we are happy to quote one.
